Ron Paul Supporters Ruin Local High School Field Trip Plans

San Diego, CA - All the Patrick Henry High School dance team wanted to do is go to Disneyland next month to participate in the Parade of Dreams.  They’ve held carwashes, bake sales, and spaghetti dinners; all that remained for them to meet their fundraising goal was the annual candy bar sale at last month’s Holiday Bowl.  “The candy sale is by far our best fundraiser; the people tailgating at the Holiday Bowl are very generous and love when the kids perform routines for them”, said club advisor Christina Lovejoy.  “Last year alone the students raised over $1,000.00”, she added.

When asked what led to this year’s low candy sales, she replied, “The Ron Paul supporters.  They distracted tailgaters by yelling at them and they even tried to recruit some of the students into carrying signs instead of selling candy”. Sophomore, Julia Evans said, “When I tried to tell that Ron Paul guy that I was only fifteen and can’t even vote yet, he like, didn’t even care.  He told me I should put my box of candy bars down and pick up a sign.”

Ron Paul, a 72-year-old presidential candidate, has followers dubbed “Paulites” or “Paulistas” who are known for showing their support by chanting and shouting at public events.  Rick Fowler, who was tailgating with his family explained, “When I got my money out to pay the kids for some candy, a couple of guys carrying Ron Paul signs ran up to me and started yelling something about needing a better monetary system. I tried telling them that I just wanted to help the kids out.”

In all, the dance club managed to raise $152.00 at last month’s Holiday Bowl; and thanks to the AFC Wildcard game last Sunday, an additional $205.00.  “We managed to raise more funds at the Chargers game, but that’s only because the students did their best to outrun the Ron Paul supporters.” stated Ms. Lovejoy.  With February approaching, she added, “We are $750.00 short of our goal, so as of today, our Disneyland trip is cancelled.”

Wow… what would his presidency be like? Sign toting paulistas on every corner telling people to listen to his saturday radio broadcast or showing support for his pardon of the thanksgiving turkey.

Holy Hotness! RP supporter pictured on right can Ron Paul my president any day!

Oh please! It is a shame that this teacher knows nothing about the 1st amendment and all about candy and dancing. Instead of talking to her students’ about rights under the constitution, she plays the victim.

Teaching children to be victims…great. Just great.

Are you serious… the author didnt say that they couldnt be there protesting, but was merely shocked that they would do so at the expense of non-voting high school students or the bystanders that wanted to support them.
