As a graudate of ASU, I can honestly say that this is true. ASU is a diploma mill. They dont care what happens as long as you pay.

On a related note… did you guys read about UofA trying to get rid of their student body presidents and senators because they dont do anything? Brilliant.

Amen! Then again where are our grad students who get addicted to meth and then kidnap and torture ex boyfriends.

At least you don’t have to live in flippin Tucson…

It looks like Erickson shut him up. Stoops will be lucky if he makes it to the next signing day.

“He can say what he wants,” Erickson said of Stoops. “We’re all the same. There is no difference.

“The bottom line with recruiting, and all that talking back and forth and all the stuff, is who’s going to win games and who isn’t right now. What we’ve done with our group academically, as far as helping our guys be successful, that’s what it’s all about.

“I really don’t know what he’s referring to. To be honest with you, I don’t know what he’s saying, because they took a bunch of junior-college players.”

Just for the record, Arizona signed six junior-college transfers, Arizona State five.

Yeah, I liked Erickson’s response …

I believe ASU recruited more in-state guys too.

Funny, he apologized today:

Yesterday in my annual signing day news conference I regretfully made some comments about sister institution Arizona State University.

“These remarks were dutifully reported by the media, and not necessarily taken out of context - which was within some of my heartfelt observations about the recruiting process and what it entails for individuals and college football programs.

“I’ve since spoken with ASU Coach Dennis Erickson. It was a personal mistake and one for which I apologize.”

he foresaw a50 point ass kicking in Tucson next year. I don’t think pissing off an old vet like Erickson is the right thing to do
